This 12-month contract position offers a unique opportunity to work with a global enterprise solution organisation in cybersecurity risk management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing complex research, design, and software development assignments within specific software functional areas or product lines.
  • Providing direct input to project plans.
  • Scheduling the development of cross-functional software products.
  • Performing software design across multiple systems and mentoring other team members.

Requirements include:

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.

Tech skills required include:

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Expertise in development languages such as React, Typescript, NodeJS, Spring, JavaScript, JSON, HTML, CSS, Java, Go, and Python.
  • Design and programming with security, scalability, and performance in mind.
  • Ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
  • Test-driven development.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Ability to write and review detailed specifications for complex system components.
  • Ability to design and work with complex data models.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
  • Strong command of object-oriented design and design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Possible bonus experience includes Docker, Kubernetes, and MicroServices architecture, as well as Azure cloud tools.

A competitive salary range is expected, considering the role's requirements and Sydney's market conditions. The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $120,000 - $150,000 AUD, depending on qualifications and experience.
