About this role:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and drive effective portfolio governance capability, ensuring the successful delivery of prioritised projects and realising agreed benefits. You will have end-to-end responsibility for support to key management committees and assist in ensuring broader corporate governance requirements are in place and well managed.

The ideal candidate will have worked in fast moving transformation environments and be comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity. They will also have experience in developing and implementing consistent and effective governance pathways and reporting of the project portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining a holistic inter-related view of the portfolio (e.g., financials, project health, benefits realisation) that enables decision making as a portfolio rather than by individual project
  • Ensuring consistent standards, methods, tools, and data in place that provide a portfolio view
  • Driving relevant and valuable insights and providing recommendations relating to project investment and performance, project assurance and benefits realisation to enable effective decision making by Executive Leadership
  • Portfolio operations: governance forums and meetings, change request processes, funding release cycles, portfolio reporting and recommendations, support business case development conducted by the business, manage the review and endorsement / approval processes
  • Supporting and guiding business sponsors and project delivery teams in relation to developing high quality business cases, navigating the portfolio governance landscape throughout the project delivery lifecycle
  • Advocating for portfolio governance; engagement, awareness and education driving collaboration, developing ownership and accountability from business stakeholders
