This is a full-time role based in Adelaide Zoo, with occasional travel to Monarto Safari Park required. You'll work closely with our Events Manager to develop and deliver our calendar of school holiday programs and signature events, including Boo at the Zoo, Illuminate: Universal Kingdom, and Teddy Bear's Picnic.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sourcing and contacting suppliers, arranging quotes, and confirming bookings;
  • Developing draft running sheets for events;
  • Creating schedules of activities;
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth event delivery;
  • Preparing reports and contributing to policies and procedures;

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Event Management/Tourism/Hospitality or related areas (or equivalent experience);
  • Excellent creativity skills and attention to detail;
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Understanding of conservation and environmental issues and the capacity to apply this knowledge in a visitor-focused setting.
