Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned payroll professional with at least 5 years of experience in end-to-end payroll to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previously worked in large and complex payroll departments and organisations, with a strong background in mentoring and developing team members.


Main Responsibilities
  1. Execute the fortnightly pay run, resolve client inquiries, and manage complex payroll transactions efficiently.
  2. Take ownership of the fortnightly pay run process, including superannuation reporting, terminations, and redundancies, and apply performance metrics to ensure timely and accurate payroll services.
  3. Monitor and evaluate payroll processes through the use of relevant tools and systems, implementing corrective actions where necessary to improve outcomes.
  4. Serve as a key escalation point and subject matter expert for resolving complex payroll issues, ensuring compliance and providing accurate guidance to the team and stakeholders.
  5. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing payroll processes, systems, and service delivery by leveraging innovative technologies and best practices.

About You
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in end-to-end payroll required.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and developing team members.
  • Strong terminations and redundancies expertise.
  • Demonstrated payroll tax knowledge.
  • Familiarity with multiple awards and EBA.
  • Background in a big business industry with a large and complex payroll environment.
