Senior Payroll Officer

The Payroll Agency has partnered with a large warehousing and distribution company in the recruitment of a newly created Senior Payroll Officer position on a permanent basis. This role reports to the Payroll Manager and indirectly manages 1 Payroll Admin. The team is described as supportive and welcoming, with a strong sense of family.
Responsibilities- High volume, end-to-end payroll processing.
- Compliance including tax, superannuation, and all third-party payment calculations and payments.
- Workers compensation claims management.
- Checking the work of others.
- Training and supporting 1 Payroll Admin.
- Ensuring compliance with enterprise agreements and training other team members.
- Project work such as documentation of processes and system upgrades.
- Experience in end-to-end payroll, including statutory deductions such as tax, super and workers compensation.
- Blue collar background is important due to the requirement of enterprise agreement and award interpretation knowledge.
Base pay range: A$100,000.00/yr - A$120,000.00/yr. In return you will receive A$100k - A$110k + Super + benefits. Hybrid structure; require in-office presence multiple days per week; limited flexibility due to payroll processes.
