Job Description

Join Powerlink Queensland in a key leadership role to drive sustainable business practices and ensure operations align with environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles. This role leads a team of three to develop and implement ESG strategies, sustainability frameworks and governance practices that align with climate risk management and reporting requirements.

The Opportunity

As the Manager Sustainability and Governance at Powerlink Queensland, you will lead the development and implementation of strategies that strengthen sustainability outcomes and meet evolving reporting requirements. You will influence organisational direction and embed sustainability into everyday practices while managing a dedicated team of three.

Develop and deliver ESG strategies that strengthen sustainability outcomes and meet evolving reporting requirements. Provide advice to executives and the Board on climate risk, sustainability opportunities and compliance obligations. Manage the upkeep and improvement of the environmental management system, working collaboratively to ensure it meets organisational needs; lead a team of three and coordinate across business areas to deliver sustainability initiatives.

Engage with industry, regulators and consultants to ensure Powerlink remains aligned with best practice. Support capability building across the organisation to increase awareness and application of sustainability principles.
