Job Description

As a seasoned professional, you will lead the development and implementation of strategies that ensure operations align with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. You will drive organisational direction, embed sustainability into everyday practices, and manage a dedicated team.

The Opportunity
  • Develop and deliver ESG strategies to strengthen sustainability outcomes and meet evolving reporting requirements.
  • Provide expert advice to executives and senior stakeholders on climate risk, sustainability opportunities, and compliance obligations.
  • Manage the upkeep and improvement of the environmental management system, working collaboratively to ensure it meets business needs; lead a team and coordinate across departments to deliver sustainability initiatives.
  • Engage with industry leaders, regulatory bodies, and experts to ensure alignment with best practice.
  • Support capability building across the organisation to increase awareness and application of sustainability principles.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of sustainability frameworks, climate risk integration, and compliance with ESG reporting requirements.
  • Provide strategic advice to executives, manage cross-functional projects, and lead a team to drive sustainable business practices.
  • Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the environmental management system.
Requirements

You will bring extensive knowledge of sustainability and ESG practices, strong strategic and analytical skills, experience managing environmental systems, and a track record of influencing at senior levels. You should be able to lead teams, deliver cross-organisational initiatives, and navigate complex reporting and compliance frameworks.

  • Degree-level qualifications in environmental science, sustainability, commerce, economics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and influence at senior levels.
