JS Careers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead Aboriginal Investment NT in achieving its strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of the organization's operations, including the execution of the Strategic Investment Plan, and ensuring the continuous improvement of grants and investments programs.

The CEO will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including Aboriginal Land Councils, organizations, and communities, as well as fostering broad stakeholder relationships and operating effectively with Government and commercial partners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the social, cultural, political, and economic operating environment in the NT, and will be able to interpret the legislative and policy frameworks relevant to NTAIC and Corporate Commonwealth Entities.

The CEO will be responsible for driving a culture of good governance and providing accountability and transparency to Aboriginal people in the NT, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic leadership and direction of the organization
  • Execution of the Strategic Investment Plan
  • Continuous improvement of grants and investments programs

Requirements
  • Demonstrated cultural capability and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
  • Understanding of the social, cultural, political, and economic operating environment in the NT
  • Extensive senior leadership experience, including the ability to direct business operations and a solid track record of leading an organization through start-up or transformational change
  • Demonstrated experience with governance and management of investment funds and/or grants management processes and systems
  • Ability to interpret the legislative and policy frameworks relevant to NTAIC and Corporate Commonwealth Entities
