Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist plays a vital role in delivering efficient procurement and inventory management support within the Water Services department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the acquisition of materials, goods, and services using optimized procurement and financial systems.
  • Managing stock levels and maintaining supplier registers.
  • Contributing to the preparation of contract documentation and monitoring costs.
  • Fostering a positive safety culture and addressing day-to-day challenges.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Business Administration or related field, and/or a minimum of three years' experience facilitating procurement and purchasing functions within Local Government, Water, or Construction industry. A comprehensive knowledge of Local Government contracts for procurement is also essential.
