We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team.
- The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering effective procurement support within our organisation, ensuring all acquisitions meet operational requirements.
- You will be responsible for coordinating the purchase of materials, goods, and services using our procurement systems, managing stock levels, and maintaining supplier and contractor registers.
- Foster a positive safety culture, use sound judgment, and initiative to address day-to-day challenges and manage projects in line with relevant legislation and standards.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Certificate in Business Administration or related discipline, or equivalent experience in facilitating procurement and purchasing functions within Local or State Government, Water or Construction industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Local and/or State Government contracts for the procurement of materials.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications and operating devices effectively, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable productivity and systems to facilitate day-to-day operations.
- Ability to network effectively with key stakeholders in offering advice and support to delivering operational and maintenance services.
- A valid C Class drivers' licence, Forklift Licence and WHS Induction card.
