Expert Clinical Advice for Infectious Diseases

This role is responsible for providing expert clinical advice on all matters relating to infectious diseases as reportable under the NSW Public Health Act 2010.

The successful candidate will work within the Infectious Diseases team, providing leadership and ensuring adherence to communicable diseases control guidelines. They will also contribute to the development and delivery of education programs related to infectious diseases and public health.

In addition, the candidate will provide high-level support to outbreak management, identify and participate in quality improvement and accreditation activities, and contribute to strategic and clinical service planning.

  • Postgraduate qualification in the field of practice or such other qualifications deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills across various mediums.

The successful candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, with a minimum of 5 years full-time equivalent postgraduate qualification experience, and at least 3 years full-time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
