Job Opportunity: Technology Support Specialist

The Technology Support Team plays a vital role in providing technical assistance to employees and customers across the state. This team is responsible for delivering top-notch support services, ensuring that all technological issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.

This position is located within the Brisbane Central Region group, comprising 15 employees, and reports directly to the Technology Support Manager of the region. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support for a diverse range of assets, including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, servers, and network equipment.
  • Monitoring and managing ITSM tool queues, escalating issues when necessary, and maintaining effective customer communication throughout the job lifecycle.
  • Utilizing Active Directory tools and monitoring software to ensure secure access controls and remote monitoring of computers and file services.
  • Offering expert advice to managers and customers on technology-related matters and proposed solutions.
  • Assisting with technology support and specifications for both business-as-usual and project-related activities.
  • Participating in technology refresh and uplift initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an enterprise-scale ICT services environment.
  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework and relevant technologies such as Windows Server (2008 and above), Windows 7 / SOE, and ITSM tool management for IT service delivery.
