- Project Management: Lead the delivery of development and infrastructure projects from feasibility to construction and handover. Prepare and manage project documentation including scopes, schedules, budgets, risk registers, procurement plans, and tender submissions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, councils, government authorities, consultants, and contractors. Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs (engineering, planning, surveying, environmental) to ensure integrated and timely project outcomes.
- Financial and Commercial Management: Manage project financial performance including forecasting, resource planning, reporting, and commercial risk.
- Business Development: Participate in business development, proposal preparation, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Leadership: Deliver development and infrastructure projects within Tasmania and other states. Demonstrate initiative and autonomy while applying sound judgement across diverse technical and planning domains. Provide leadership to project teams including mentoring junior team members.
What you need:
- Project Management Expertise: 5+ years of strong project management capability in either engineering, construction or property development with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Technical and Regulatory Knowledge: Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical, planning, and regulatory information effectively. Demonstrated understanding of local development approval processes and infrastructure planning in Tasmania (or other states) is desirable.
- Financial Acumen: Financial and commercial acumen with an understanding of project profitability, cost control, and contract administration.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and client presentations.
- Organisational Skills: Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills. Adaptability and resilience in dynamic environments with competing deadlines.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Strong leadership, mentoring, and team coordination skills.
