Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled leader to drive safety and maintenance improvement, and contribute to the success of our mining operations.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong manager who can motivate and coach a team to achieve high standards. The successful candidate will have experience in leading and developing employees, driving safety and maintenance improvement, cost reduction, and equipment performance and selection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance, and mentoring others.
  • Manage and execute daily maintenance of a large mobile maintenance fleet.
  • Provide practical input into all relevant short and long-term maintenance plans.
  • Increase equipment availability and reliability by ensuring all maintenance activities are planned and carried out to a high standard, safely and timely.
  • Assist in implementing safety and productivity strategies.
  • Play an active role in incident investigations.
  • Create solutions with self-motivation to develop plans for challenges presented in the workplace.

Requirements:

  • A mechanical trade certificate or tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering.
  • Extensive post-trade or relevant mobile maintenance experience in a mining environment.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • A commitment to health, safety, and environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning and condition monitoring.
  • The ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant mining legislation.
