Project Coordination Role

This position involves providing comprehensive support to the development and delivery of Council building projects. As a proactive project manager, you will oversee all stages of capital projects from inception to completion, requiring in-depth technical expertise in construction management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on major projects from planning to handover
  • Manage project lifecycle stages including feasibility studies, design development, and construction supervision
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance and project objectives are met
  • Monitor project progress, costs, and report to Senior Project Manager
  • Assist in annual works program development and implementation
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Current Victorian driver's licence
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety principles related to construction
  • Competency in IT and project management tools
  • Familiarity with sustainable design principles and construction codes
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in the building and construction industry
  • Project management qualifications/certification preferred
  • Experience with budgeting and cost control
  • Report writing and strong communication skills
