Operations Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Assistant to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery and timely completion of projects.

About the Role:

We are seeking a friendly and professional individual to coordinate administration, scheduling, and bookings for multiple building maintenance/repair jobs. You will work closely with our staff trade team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless communication and successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and arrange project-related information for management review.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure job progress and bookings are well-informed.
  • Forward plan for ordering materials under direction of in-house estimators.
  • Maintain internal job management software and relevant spreadsheets.
  • Provide regular updates on job progress and any problems that need attention.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience/knowledge within the property & construction industry.
  • Experience/knowledge surrounding bathroom maintenance & repairs.
  • Strong communication and liaison skills.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to handle and escalate potential issues.
  • Strong computer skills (Google Workspace).
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for working in the building industry.
  • Quick learner with a proactive attitude.
