Business Development Representative

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team at Crossmark Australia. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for engaging with small to medium-sized businesses to promote and sell SumUp Payments products and services within your allocated territory.
You will use a variety of lead sources such as direct engagement, self-generated appointments, and referrals to win new business and expand the SumUp network. With a great earning potential and a 6-month contract role, this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and execute growth and new customers for SumUp
- Sourcing new clients and convincing competitor clients to use SumUp products and added services
- Research market opportunities, including micro, nano, SME, and markets
- Lead generation and managing internal leads
- Provide technical advice, recommendations, and applicable solutions to customers
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the end user sectors
- Present to groups regarding product solutions and technical topics
- Ensure tender opportunities are managed well and in a timely manner
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in a Business Development/Relationship Management role
- High-level communication and interaction skills
- Demonstrated experience in Lead generation and Sales (highly desirable)
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Resourceful, with outstanding research skills to convert new opportunities and business from competitors
- Strong planning, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Confident working in a highly autonomous environment
- A valid, full Australian driver's license and reliable car
