About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team at Crossmark Australia. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for engaging with small to medium-sized businesses to promote and sell SumUp Payments products and services within your allocated territory.

You will use a variety of lead sources such as direct engagement, self-generated appointments, and referrals to win new business and expand the SumUp network. With a great earning potential and a 6-month contract role, this is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement, and execute growth and new customers for SumUp
  • Sourcing new clients and convincing competitor clients to use SumUp products and added services
  • Research market opportunities, including micro, nano, SME, and markets
  • Lead generation and managing internal leads
  • Provide technical advice, recommendations, and applicable solutions to customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the end user sectors
  • Present to groups regarding product solutions and technical topics
  • Ensure tender opportunities are managed well and in a timely manner

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Business Development/Relationship Management role
  • High-level communication and interaction skills
  • Demonstrated experience in Lead generation and Sales (highly desirable)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Resourceful, with outstanding research skills to convert new opportunities and business from competitors
  • Strong planning, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Confident working in a highly autonomous environment
  • A valid, full Australian driver's license and reliable car
