About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Officer to join our team at the Building Commission NSW. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of complex projects and programs, applying sound project management principles to deliver organisational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder and customer relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders to identify new learning opportunities and progress existing ones
  • Engage with senior leaders to assist in the design and review of learning modules
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of learning programs
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of plans for new policies, projects, and initiatives, including developing strategies for implementation, communication, reporting and monitoring.
  • Support the team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved
  • Manage project tracking, financials and reporting, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key milestones and outcomes, and within budget
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation and contribute ideas to improve processes and systems ensuring they achieve project outcomes and support the growth of the platform.
  • Contribute to CPD programs, workshops, and training sessions to support new frameworks and reforms.
Requirements
  • Ability to undertake research and analysis into trends, policies and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience building networks and collaborating with subject matter experts to develop clear and timely communications.
  • Solid understanding of design and content creation of education materials and programs.
  • Previous experience in project management, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • High level attention to detail, organisation and prioritisation, while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience working across multiple projects and managing competing priorities.
