Job Description:

The Aboriginal Workforce Manager will provide advocacy, leadership, cultural support, guidance and education to increase and improve the representation of Aboriginal people across the SWSLHD workforce in all Health professions. This role is responsible for reviewing the implementation of the SWSLHD 2022-2026 Aboriginal Workforce Plan and development of a new strategy.

About the Opportunity

This role provides an opportunity to work with the South West Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) to increase and improve the representation of Aboriginal people across the SWSLHD workforce in all Health professions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advocacy, leadership, cultural support, guidance and education to increase and improve the representation of Aboriginal people across the SWSLHD workforce in all Health professions.
  • Review the implementation of the SWSLHD 2022-2026 Aboriginal Workforce Plan and develop a new strategy.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of Aboriginal cultures and histories.
  • Experience in working with Aboriginal communities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
