
Aboriginal Workforce Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Aboriginal Workforce Engagement and Retention Officer.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the goals and objectives of the directorate. As a key member, you will provide expert project, policy, and planning advice while analyzing workforce data and preparing reports that inform decision-making.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake regional administrative functions such as surveying and capturing data, budget monitoring, financial administration, procurement, workforce administration, and records management.
- Lead discrete projects or programs, applying high-level analytical, research, and communication skills to co-design solutions that address system barriers and gaps.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including sites, Aboriginal Health Teams, Aboriginal Organisations, and other stakeholders to strengthen workforce engagement and retention across the network.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working with Aboriginal people and communities.
- Proven ability to mentor Aboriginal people and respective workplaces for successful outcomes.
- Ability to undertake research, gather and analyze data, and interpret multiple sources of information to form recommendations.
- Experience in preparing complex reports, briefings, and correspondence.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and in partnership with government agencies and Aboriginal community groups to resolve complex issues.
- Ability in interpreting and critically analyzing programs/services/policies.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of data quality management frameworks.
