The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager of Human Resources to lead our HR function and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture, and providing expert guidance to our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of HR professionals to deliver HR services and support business objectives.
  2. Develop and implement HR strategies to drive business growth, improve employee engagement, and enhance organizational culture.
  3. Provide expert guidance to our leadership team on HR matters, including employment law, employee relations, and talent management.
  4. Design and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  5. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry awards, laws, and regulations.
  6. Build and sustain relationships with business leaders, employees, and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of HR objectives.
  7. Monitor and analyze HR metrics to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in national HR and/or People and Culture Management roles.
  • Proven experience in Blue Collar industries such as transport and warehousing is highly desirable.
  • Advanced understanding of employment law, industry awards, and Fair Work Practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
