Position Overview

The Role:

In this pivotal position, you will report directly to the People & Insurance Manager of the Glad Group of Companies. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will concentrate on strategic human resources initiatives while collaborating closely with the People & Culture leadership team to ensure cohesive alignment across all aspects of People & Culture within the organization. Your role will involve offering essential expertise and support to stakeholders, aiming to mitigate employment-related issues and disputes. You will utilize your knowledge to assist stakeholders in various employment relations and industrial relations matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver strategic and operational guidance within the People & Culture domain to fulfill business requirements.
  2. Engage with the business in organizational discussions, proposing alternatives to align HR and business strategies.
  3. Provide ongoing strategic counsel and support regarding employee relations, dispute resolution, and industrial advocacy, including the management of ER/IR cases.
  4. Conduct thorough investigations ensuring compliance with legislation, due process, and fairness, taking accountability for the outcomes.
  5. Act as a representative for the business in dealings with unions and other external entities as necessary.
  6. Maintain and enhance People & Culture policies and procedures, offering recommendations for improvement.
  7. Guide and assist managers in managing staff performance effectively.

This position requires regular site visits related to People & Culture, which may involve occasional interstate travel.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field

• At least 1 year of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Advisor, or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management platforms

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks

• Comprehensive understanding of HR legislation and awards

• Insightful awareness of people-related challenges within the business.
