About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Global Trade Compliance Specialist in the Asia-Pacific region. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our operations are compliant with all relevant trade regulations and laws.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our trade compliance efforts in the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of trade regulations, including import and export laws, customs procedures, and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). They will be responsible for implementing and managing our trade compliance program, ensuring that all aspects of our business are in compliance with local regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, including sales, logistics, and finance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with trade regulations
  • Provide training and support to employees on trade compliance requirements
  • Manage relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other third-party providers
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in trade regulations and advise management on any potential impacts
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as international business, supply chain management, or law
  • At least 5 years of experience in trade compliance, preferably in the Asia-Pacific region
  • Excellent knowledge of trade regulations, including import and export laws, customs procedures, and FTAs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
