At HUB24, we are seeking an experienced professional to fill a critical role. The Senior Accounts Payable and Expense Officer will be responsible for ensuring the accurate transfer of data, maintaining AP controls, performing reconciliations, and assisting with month-end activities.

The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled individual to join our team in Sydney to support the Accounts Payable function. The successful candidate will have experience in a senior or supervisory AP role, with expertise in Workday and NetSuite, especially migration and data integration.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving process improvements and best practices within the AP team. They will also possess strong Excel skills and confidence with financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter AP transactions accurately and import expense and credit card reimbursements from Workday to NetSuite.
  • Maintain data integrity during system migration and ongoing AP processes.
  • Apply internal controls to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Identify and address process gaps, supporting audits and compliance.
  • Reconcile data during migration and perform regular AP account and supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in preparing and processing payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage urgent or exception payments during migration.
  • Uphold high standards of detail and consistency in AP activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support the Workday to NetSuite migration.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
  • Experience in a senior or supervisory AP role.
  • Experience with Workday and NetSuite, especially migration and data integration.
  • Proven experience with expense and credit card reimbursements.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence with financial systems.
  • Experience with month-end processes, including accruals and journals.
  • Understanding of end-to-end AP processes.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and best practices.
  • Experience with finance transformation projects is a plus.
