Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to support our prestigious DFAT account. The successful candidate will play a vital role in coordinating month-end accruals and project accounting reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial data.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate monthly, forecast, and budget aspects of capex reporting in collaboration with offshore Project Managers.
  • Support annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, including data establishment, stakeholder management, and outcome analysis.
  • Work closely with project managers to achieve budget and forecast targets while identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Provide stakeholder management and client engagement support, including attendance at client meetings.
  • Drive continuous improvement through identification and implementation of reporting, process, and control enhancements.
  • Support systems implementation and operations while maintaining data integrity between finance systems and key platforms.
  • Manage ad-hoc queries and support compliance with regulatory, internal policies, and client requirements.
Key Requirements
  • Be an Australian Citizen to comply with the Client's requirement to obtain and gain at least a NV1 clearance.
  • Have at least 3+ years post-qualification experience (CA or CPA).
  • Have project accounting experience which will be highly desirable.
  • Have advanced financial analytical and reporting skills with accounting or finance function experience.
  • Have strong Excel proficiency including financial modeling and analysis capabilities.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing diverse client representatives and stakeholders.
  • Have demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex deliverables with competing timelines.
  • Have strong attention to detail with strategic thinking abilities with capacity to solve complex problems and work with ambiguity.
