Job Title: Welfare Support Coordinator

About the Role

The Welfare Support Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening the capacity of labour sending unit (LSU) welfare staff to implement activities that promote the wellbeing of workers, their families, and communities in labour sending countries.

  • Coordinate and implement activities that strengthen the capacity of LSU welfare teams to deliver welfare support, including case management capacity.
  • Coordinate and maintain an active community of practice among LSU welfare teams to promote peer learning, knowledge exchange, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and facilitate opportunities for continued professional development for LSU welfare staff, aimed at enhancing their capacity to support workers and their families and to engage effectively with specialist referral agencies.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting LSU teams in adopting and applying standard operating procedures (SOPs) and referral processes, providing guidance and resources to embed these practices into their daily work.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of SOPs and case management tools.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate welfare considerations into broader program activities.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant work experience in social work, human services, social/behavioral sciences, or related fields.
  • A minimum 5 years of work experience in case management is required; background in migrant settlement or family support services is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of case management frameworks and referral pathways; experience working with Pacific and Timorese communities; understanding of GEDSI concepts and issues.
