Employment Law Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our team as a Special Counsel. The ideal candidate will have strong Employer representative experience and be highly skilled in drafting, advisory, problem-solving, workplace investigations, training delivery, and solicitor-advocacy.

  • Drafting contracts and advising on legislative provisions pertaining to Employment Law matters and Employee Relations.
  • Managing diverse Employment Law matters from start to finish without supervision, subject to a collaborative environment.
  • Liaising directly with sophisticated clients and delivering exceptional legal services.
Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert advice on Employment Law matters and Employee Relations.
  • Conducting workplace investigations and providing recommendations.
  • Delivering training sessions to clients and colleagues.
  • Representing clients in disputes and litigation.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years PQE in Employment Law and Workplace Relations within a mid-tier or large private practice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent plain English communication skills.
  • Experience managing diverse Employment Law matters from start to finish without supervision.
