Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Employment Law Specialist to join our team and provide expert advice to clients on employment relations matters.

Main Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on employment law, including disciplinary issues, performance-related problems, termination of employment, EEO, discrimination, WHS, and award interpretation.
  • Mentor and coach clients in employee relation conversations.
  • Provide consulting services to clients, involving regional and interstate travel from time to time.
  • Research and prepare submissions on Federal and State Government issues.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives related to Industrial Relations.
  • Participate in conciliation and/or mediation conferences.
  • Manage litigated matters before the Fair Work Commission.
  • Write articles on relevant subject matter.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching employees.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
