Employment Law Specialist

This role involves working with our team in Melbourne. You'll be responsible for:

  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures;
  • Advising on industrial relations and enterprise bargaining negotiations;
  • Providing strategic advice on workplace issues such as performance management and grievances;
  • Interpreting legislation including the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and associated regulations;
  • Running and supporting litigation matters involving unfair dismissal and contractual disputes;
  • Mentoring junior lawyers and graduates within the team.

We are seeking a lawyer with:

  • 4–6 years' post-admission experience in employment law practice;
  • A strong understanding of employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks;
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills;
  • The ability to work closely with clients and team members;
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to juggle competing priorities.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Employment Law Specialist. You will work closely with our experienced lawyers to provide strategic advice on employment-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures;
  • Advising on industrial relations and enterprise bargaining negotiations;
  • Providing strategic advice on workplace issues such as performance management and grievances;
  • Interpreting legislation including the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and associated regulations;
  • Running and supporting litigation matters involving unfair dismissal and contractual disputes;
