We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Consultant to join our Individual Insurance Distribution function at MLC Limited.

Your primary responsibility will be to proactively engage with financial advisers, build strong relationships, and grow our market share in line with the company's strategic plan. You will use sales data to inform planning, identify opportunities to advocate for our proposition, and successfully win business.

To achieve this goal, you will execute Take to Market initiatives, onboard and enable advisers, and influence them to achieve education aims and sales targets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the Head of Distribution and Strategic Account Managers on licensee engagement and account plans.
  • Planning and executing an 'Ideal week' in adviser interactions, aligning with the Individual Life Insurance strategy.
  • Fulfilling fact-finding requirements for all assigned advisers and building tailored engagement plans based on their needs.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure consistency of adviser experience.
  • Building the profile of MLC Life Insurance within your network of relationships.
  • Maintaining high-quality CRM data input and management standards.
  • Proactively managing ongoing professional development and enterprise mandatory training.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the financial services industry, preferably in life insurance, and a strong understanding of advice processes. A perfect opportunity for those currently working in client services or paraplanning roles looking to extend their careers.

You must possess exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide outstanding service to clients. Key qualifications include:

  • RG 146 compliance
  • A LOA-holding role requiring specific qualification requirements
  • Higher education standards beyond a DFP, such as ADF or equivalent, highly desirable
