At AU040 Mercer Administration Services (Australia) Pty Ltd., we are seeking a Senior Pension Administrator to join our Client and Member Services team based in the Wollongong office on a permanent, full-time basis.

The estimated salary for this role is around $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

This role will involve maintaining member/employer/adviser account details and processing a range of pension administration functions for members/employers and advisers of various pension schemes administered by Mercer. You will ensure responsive, accurate and timely information is provided to members/employers/advisers regarding pension accounts.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Processing transactions across multiple functions either manually, electronically or SuperStream.
  • Maintaining accurate records within Mercers current operating systems in accordance with specific scheme legislation, fund rules and business processes.
  • Conducting thorough investigations to resolve exceptions and gather information to assist with the management of escalations, incidents and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Initiating and acting as a point of contact with both internal and external stakeholders to verify/confirm data provided and follow-up information as required.
  • Cooperating and communicating across teams to improve outcomes for internal/external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining records systems to ensure the accurate, timely and safe storage of information.
  • Preparing written correspondence that is well-structured and easy to follow.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Preferred knowledge and understanding of superannuation/pension.
  • Sound problem solving skills and initiative.
  • Ability to manage own workload within high volume environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail.
