Support the execution of fire prevention initiatives, including controlled burning and various activities aimed at reducing bushfire hazards.

Mandatory Qualifications

Pre-Employment Assessments

The Head of the State Service mandates that candidates nominated for this role must undergo a pre-employment assessment prior to appointment, promotion, or transfer. Any significant criminal history or repeated serious offenses may result in the rejection of an application. Such offenses include, but are not limited to:

  • Arson and fire-related offenses;
  • Sexual offenses;
  • Fraudulent activities (e.g., theft, burglary, breaking and entering);
  • Deceptive practices (e.g., gaining advantage through deception);
  • False declarations;
  • Violent crimes and offenses against individuals;
  • Malicious property damage;
  • Drug trafficking;
  • False emergency reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting Operations) or the ability to pursue this certification;
  • Current First Aid Certification;
  • Valid Full C Class Driver's License.
