Job Summary

The Bushfire Management Planning Officer will lead and develop plans and strategies to mitigate the impact of bushfires within Tasmania. This role will provide complex operational and technical support to AFAC staff and other stakeholders, and carry out fire management and suppression activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement bushfire management plans and strategies at various scales
  • Provide technical support to AFAC staff and other stakeholders
  • Carry out fire management and suppression activities
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve bushfire management goals
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies

Requirements
