Financial Operations Systems Manager

The Financial Operations System Manager plays a critical role in the strategic development, implementation and management of financial operations systems within an organisation. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that FinOps systems are optimised, compliant and aligned with organisational goals.
This includes defining the vision and roadmap for FinOps systems in alignment with organisational goals, overseeing the entire lifecycle of FinOps systems including development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement. The individual will collaborate with wider digital solutions and finance teams to integrate new technologies and enhance existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Product Manager to define the vision and roadmap for FinOps systems in alignment with organisational goals.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of FinOps systems, including development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with wider digital solutions and finance teams to integrate new technologies and enhance existing systems.
- Work closely with finance, wider digital solutions and other departments to gather requirements and ensure FinOps systems meet business needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for any issues or enhancements related to FinOps systems.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to review system performance and gather feedback.
- Ensure that FinOps systems comply with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and implement necessary system adjustments.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and secure data management and reporting.
- Lead projects related to the implementation and upgrade of FinOps systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience in financial operations systems management or a related role.
- Strong understanding of finance principles and financial systems.
- Experience with product management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial systems.
- Experience with ERP systems, CRM software, and other financial technology solutions.
- Certification in project management or product management is desirable.
