Senior Accounts Officer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accounts Officer to join our finance team. This is a full-time position based at our headquarters.

This role involves managing high-volume financial transactions, maintaining internal controls, driving efficiency, building relationships with suppliers, and supporting the Financial Controller with reporting and month-end close.

The successful candidate will thrive in this role if they enjoy building and maintaining strong relationships and have a passion for driving efficiency in finance operations.

The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in finance, including senior-level experience, strong technical knowledge of financial systems, cash flow, and accounting principles, advanced Excel skills, and excellent communication and vendor management skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller and Accountant to complete month-end and year-end close activities and assist with financial reporting
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies, propose solutions, and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members
  • Deliverables:
  • Accurate and timely financial transaction processing
  • Reconciliations and month-end close completed efficiently and without error
  • Evidence of contributions to process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Successful onboarding, training, and mentoring of junior finance staff

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, including senior-level experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial systems, cash flow, and accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel skills, with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication and vendor management skills
