Job Overview

We seek a seasoned finance leader to head our end-of-month reporting, manage a small finance team, and maintain transactional entries and financial frameworks. If you excel in fast-paced environments, improve systems, and turn balance sheets into business insights, this role is ideal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a small finance team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Manage revenue invoicing, general journal entries, and intercompany transactions accurately.
  • Ensure timely closing of monthly financial periods and deliver Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
  • Tackle reconciliations with finesse from fixed assets to intercompany loans.
  • Manage compliance matters, including BAS lodgement, payroll, superannuation, and audit support.
  • Strengthen internal controls and contribute to process and system enhancements.
  • Build strong relationships with offshore teams, suppliers, auditors, and tax consultants.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
Requirements
  • CPA or CA qualified (highly desirable but not essential).
  • Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar finance role or 5+ years' proven industry experience.
  • Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Advanced time management, autonomy, and attention to detail.
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Confident working across reporting systems and able to adapt to evolving technology.
  • Able to juggle deadlines, priorities, and remain composed.
