About this role
As a Business Development Officer, you'll be driving expansion and client relationships through AI logistics software.
Your mission is to engage with potential clients, attend networking events, and collaborate with the lead generation team to turn prospects into loyal clients.
You'll generate your own leads and receive leads from our data team's campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand Client Base: Regular outbound prospecting and networking.
- Maintain Strong Customer Relationships: Stay in regular contact and address client issues promptly.
- Communicate Services: Effectively convey capabilities to prospects and clients.
- Log and Track Sales Activities: Use Zoho CRM system.
- Participate in Sales Training: Stay updated on new product releases with key vendors.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Team: Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ideally 1+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience.
- Background in freight or transport, software, IT, or other professional B2B services advantageous.
- Proven track record of securing and managing high-value, long-term B2B engagements.
- Strong commercial and technical acumen.
- Ability to plan and execute independently with high-level direction.
- Experience with CRM tools and business development metrics.
- Fundamental knowledge of marketing, sales, customer experience, and relationship management.
