About the Regional Operations Specialist

The role of a Regional Operations Specialist is pivotal in providing high-level counsel on operational implications of policy and legislative changes, recommending enhancements where possible. They support senior managers with the delivery of assigned operational outcomes and targets, contributing to periodic reviews of operational procedures and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff by setting work priorities and allocating resources to support the delivery of required outputs within realistic timeframes.
  • Train staff in standard operating procedures and policies, ensuring they are up-to-date and followed correctly.
  • Allocate work assignments to staff, track progress, write progress reports, and troubleshoot issues that arise daily.
  • Ensure staff have access to required procedures and resources, managing those resources effectively.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations to senior management for consideration, especially suggestions aimed at improving business outcomes.
  • Liaise and coordinate within and across work units, representing the operational area and informing the work of other staff.
  • Under limited direction, provide oversight/management to a discrete organisational unit or provide administrative support to the operational program.
