About the Role
Fujitsu is seeking an experienced Technical Specialist - Application Support to plan, lead, develop, integrate, and evaluate our Defence clients' GCCS (Global Command and Control System) capability. This role requires communicating and engaging with stakeholders to deliver specific technical aspects in a timely manner, utilizing extensive subject matter knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver complex technical activities and solutions in a high-pressure environment, as directed by the Commonwealth.
- Communicate and engage with stakeholders to deliver integrated and holistic solutions in multifaceted problem domains.
- Evaluate and ensure the delivered capability meets Defence requirements within policy, legislative, and regulatory frameworks.
- Understand security and safety requirements within a Defence environment.
- Analyze data flows and requirements, write reports, manage workflows, resources, and assets to achieve business outcomes.
- Mentor and motivate the technical support team to deliver results.
Requirements
- Experience working with Global Command and Control Systems, including UNIX-based systems and Maritime Group Level Windows-based systems.
- Experience in Tactical Data Link Networks, including Joint Range Extension (JRE) Systems using J-Series messages, Satellite Tactical Data Link, and Joint Range Extension Application Protocol.
- Experience in Information Communications Technologies (ICT), including Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, network or server management in a Windows environment, network or server management in a UNIX/Linux environment, network design, remote desktop protocol tools in secure UNIX and Windows environments, and Unified Communication (UC) systems in a secure Windows environment.
- Experience in Satellite and Communication Systems, including High Frequency (HF)/Very High Frequency (VHF)/Ultra-High Frequency (UHF) systems, Military Radios, and Cryptographic equipment.
