About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mining Operations Manager to lead our Bohle Quarry site. As the ideal candidate, you will have a strong background in hard rock quarry operations, mining, and fixed/mobile plant management.

This is a permanent role offering employment stability, opportunities for training and career development, overtime work with real earning potential, and full training on equipment, systems, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff and contractors, ensuring adherence to company safety standards and procedures.
  • Lead daily site activities, including production, maintenance planning, and on-site improvements.
  • Assist Quarry Management with internal and external audits.
  • Induct and train personnel and contractors for their tasks.
  • Maintain daily operations compliance with Holcim's SHE requirements.
  • Participate in Safety Improvement Team meetings and encourage contractor participation.
  • Conduct daily pre-start meetings with personnel.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in zero-harm environments, with passion for safety.
  • Flexible working hours, including weekends, to meet quarry operation needs.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder and customer interactions.
  • Holds or willing to obtain G1, 8, 9 (S1, 2, 3) certifications.
  • Cert IV in Surface Extraction Operations is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in hard rock quarry operations, mining, and/or fixed/mobile plant management.
  • Strong knowledge of hard rock quarrying and crushing processes.

Compensation Package

We offer an estimated salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. Overtime and weekend work provide additional earning potential. We also offer comprehensive training on equipment, systems, and procedures.
