Job Title: Manager, Security and Estate Facilities
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Security and Estate Facilities to join our team at James Cook University. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the security and estate facilities of the university, ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security and estate facilities strategies to ensure the university's assets are protected and maintained.
- Manage and supervise a team of security and estate facilities staff to ensure effective delivery of services.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to security and estate facilities management.
- Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and university policies.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field such as security, facilities management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in security and estate facilities management, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
