Facilities Management Specialist

This position is part of the Property Management Unit, providing expert technical advice across all aspects of facilities management. The successful candidate will be actively engaged in delivering a project management service to ensure Council's buildings and facilities operational maintenance works are managed and completed within operational target and budget.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise in facilities management, including project management and construction management processes and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of the current year's works programs and budgets to achieve strategic plans and support the activities of property stakeholders.
- Manage and deliver a range of minor and medium-scale facilities works and projects.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies and delivery plans.
- Procure and manage contractors, ensuring compliance with building standards and legislations.
- Conduct condition assessments and risk analyses, and develop solutions to resolve issues.
- Tertiary qualification in Property, Assets and Facilities Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil or Building Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Substantial experience in building and facilities management, including project management and construction management processes and procedures.
- High level of facilities management skills, including preliminary investigations, interpreting drawings, concept designs management, financial management, and cost estimating.
- Current 'C' class driver's licence.
- 17.5% annual leave loading.
