Facilities Management Specialist

This position is part of the Property Management Unit, providing expert technical advice on facilities management and project management services to ensure Council's buildings and facilities are maintained and operated within operational targets and budget.
The role contributes to the development of the current year's works programs and budgets to achieve strategic plans and support the activities of property stakeholders.
About YouWe are seeking a candidate with:
- Knowledge of project management and construction management processes and procedures associated with building management, construction, and/or maintenance work, including building systems.
- Substantial experience in building and facilities management across the asset life cycle, including maintenance strategy and delivery, procurement, contractor performance, analysis of condition and risks, stakeholder management, and resolution of issues.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building standards and legislations.
- High-level facilities management skills, including preliminary investigations, interpreting drawings, concept designs management, financial management, quantifying, analyzing rates and cost estimating, condition assessments, and experience in the management and delivery of a range of minor and medium-scale facilities works and projects.
- Tertiary qualification in Property, Assets and Facilities Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil or Building Engineering, or related disciplines, or extensive construction and maintenance management experience.
- Current 'C' class driver's license.
