**Job Summary**
We are seeking experienced Security Officers to join our team in Townsville. As a Security Officer with MA Services Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises, employees, and visitors. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of situational awareness, observation skills, and conflict resolution abilities.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Regularly patrol buildings, grounds, and parking lots to identify potential security risks and ensure the security of the premises.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect and respond to security breaches.
- Perform routine checks of doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure and functioning properly.
- Control access to facilities and issue and monitor access badges for staff and visitors.
- Enforce policies regarding building entry and access, and respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents such as accidents, medical emergencies, and disturbances.
- Provide first aid or CPR if trained and necessary, and coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Write detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and suspicious behavior, and assist in the implementation of emergency plans and procedures.
- Identify potential security risks and recommend improvements, and build positive relationships with staff and visitors.
- Participate in regular training sessions and drills for various emergency scenarios, and assist in the coordination of evacuation procedures and emergency response efforts.
**Requirements**
- Current Queensland Security License
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Proven experience in a Corporate or Education environment highly preferred
- Excellent situational awareness and observation skills
- Excellent level of self-presentation and grooming standards
- A positive and proactive approach to day-to-day situations
- Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and customer service
- Evening and weekend availability
- Strong written communication skills, including incident report writing
- Ability to time manage and work in a high-paced team environment
- High attention to detail
