
Aboriginal Workforce Development Officer

This position oversees the continued evolution of initiatives, strategies, and programs under the Aboriginal Workforce Strategy 2021-2026. The Principal Aboriginal Staff Engagement Officer collaborates with stakeholders to enhance departmental objectives, increase Aboriginal workforce participation, and promote cultural safety.
The role involves building relationships with government agencies, health services, and Aboriginal health organisations. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and delivering strategic objectives to improve outcomes for Aboriginal employees and create a culturally safe working environment.
- Supervising and leading an Aboriginal team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and organisational goals.
- Providing expert advice and recommendations to enhance capability and promote cultural safety.
Suitable applicants will possess high-level experience working collaboratively with Aboriginal organisations and communities. They will demonstrate a deep understanding of the complexities involved in creating inclusive work environments.
