The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Manager to fill a vital role within the Aboriginal Workforce unit.

**About the Role**

\

As the Manager of the AWU, you will be responsible for initiatives to support and achieve the department's employment and retention targets for Aboriginal people. You will build and maintain strong relationships across the Aboriginal Justice Group, the People Safety Culture and Communications Group, the department and the broader VPS. Your efforts will enhance and strengthen the cultural competence of the department by implementing strategies that support a culturally safe and inclusive workplace. You will drive the delivery of the Aboriginal Workforce Strategy 2024-2027 to ensure successful management and delivery of key employment programs including graduate recruitment and retention, youth employment and Aboriginal employment pathways.
