About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional to join our team in Newcastle. As an HSE Advisor, you will provide leadership and results-driven support on safety culture, compliance and standards across the East Coast Business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of the scope of operations
- Assist sites in developing site and task-specific risk assessments
- Lead and conduct incident investigations
- Conduct site compliance inspections and HSE audits
- Manage Workers Compensation
- Identify and implement effective HSE initiatives
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Mining or Heavy Transport Industry
- Previous industry-specific experience in a Health and Safety or Management role
- Safety or related qualification from a tertiary institution
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word applications
