TRN Group is a leading civil engineering and haulage company with a workforce of over 350 people. We have been operating since 1966 and pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects for private and public sector clients.

We are currently seeking a Safety and Quality Manager to join our team. This role will involve working closely with the HSEQ Manager to maintain a high standard of health, safety, environmental and risk management processes within TRN Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing continuous improvements and ensuring that all project sites adhere to government legislative requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing the company on matters relating to workplace health and safety
  • Assisting departments in implementing and embedding their health and safety work plans
  • Supporting the HSEQ Manager to ensure the Safety Management System delivers a consistent approach to meeting legislative requirements
  • Promoting health and safety within TRN Group and assisting in developing safer and healthier ways of working
  • Implementing a programmed approach to regular workplace audits, hazard/near miss reporting and risk assessments
  • Inspecting workplaces and practices to ensure they meet safety regulations and identify hazards and risks
  • Collating illness/injury and incidents reports and statistics for senior management
  • Investigating illness/injury and incidents and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrences

To be successful, you must have:

  • Experience as a HSEQ Officer (5 years preferred)
  • Qualifications in WHS and/or Environmental (preferred)
  • A WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
  • A current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Experience within the civil construction industry would be an advantage
  • Ability to coordinate and develop Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Demonstrated organisational abilities and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team
  • Ability to communicate with clients at all levels
  • A practical common-sense approach to tasks undertaken

This role offers a competitive salary of around $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you have the required skills and qualifications, we encourage you to apply.
