This role offers a unique opportunity for medical professionals to work within a multidisciplinary team providing early intervention mental health support to young people aged 12–25.
The successful candidate will provide clinical oversight, mental health assessments, collaborative care planning, and medication support as part of a progressive model focused on recovery, accessibility, and continuity of care.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric and general medical assessment for young people aged 12–25
- Support treatment planning, medication management, and risk mitigation
- Collaborate closely with psychologists, care coordinators, and social workers
- Contribute to clinical reviews, case conferences, and quality improvement
- Maintain clinical documentation and support service evaluation activities
- MBBS or equivalent and registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner
- Experience or interest in youth mental health, general practice, or early intervention
- A collaborative, person-centred approach to clinical care
- Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Interest in continuity of care and long-term outcomes over acute presentations
