About the Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished People & Culture leader to spearhead the delivery of our People Strategy, covering a 12-month period during parental leave. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a genuinely fun organisation with the ability to make impactful change.

This role is an integral part of our senior executive leadership team, focused on building and delivering our people strategy in alignment with our goals and values of Agility, Community, Quality, Support, and Play. You will apply your technical expertise and leadership experience to provide guidance and advice to our management team and staff.

Key deliverables during the 12-month period include negotiating multiple enterprise agreements, launching a new HRIS, promoting our new internal reward and recognition program, and embedding a new performance framework. You will also manage the day-to-day operations of the team and ensure Pulse's HR compliance and reporting obligations are met.

Requirements
  • A relationship builder who is keen to invest time into understanding Pulse and our team, and applying that knowledge to delivering on our people strategy and goals.
  • A proactive leader with a positive attitude, who takes accountability and is able to problem solve efficiently and effectively, in line with a best practice approach.
  • Confidence in your understanding of managing complex people-related matters in all facets of HR.
  • Someone who is eager and excited to get involved in all Pulse has to offer.
What You Will Bring
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team to achieve their goals.
  • Strong technical knowledge in all facets of HR, with a willingness to learn and evolve with legislation and best practice approaches.
  • A supportive and approachable leadership style, that extends to the whole organisation.
  • Solid understanding of the Australian employment landscape, including the Fair Work Act 2009 and other relevant HR legislation.
  • Tertiary education and/or relevant industry experience in a HR leadership position.
  • Experience in leading and managing people for at least 2 years.
